  1.        Terms of Service Agreement

1.1.      By using this web site, you are agreeing to comply and be bound by the following terms of service and use. Please review the following terms in their entirety and ensure their comprehension before using and viewing this web site.

1.2.    The terms "us", "we", "our", or "owners" refers to Bury Secondary Learning Collaborative and administrative operators of the web sites using the buryslc.co.uk domain and bslc.org.uk. "You" refers to the user or viewer of these web sites.

1.3.       Bury Learning Secondary Collaborative is registered private company limited by guarantee in England and Wales under company number 08820390 with our registered office at Philips High School, Higher Lane, Whitefield, Manchester, England, M45 7PH. 

1.4.       The Bury Secondary Learning Collaborative owns the BSLC website. You may access and use this website if you agree to be legally bound by the terms set out below. If you do not agree to be legally bound by those terms please do not access and/or use www.buryslc.co.uk 

1.5.       Additional terms for access to and use of this special message posting facility are set out in the section called 'BSLC feedback'. If you agree to be legally bound by those additional terms you may use 'BSLC feedback'. If you do not agree to be legally bound by those additional terms please do not access and/or use 'BSLC feedback' to post messages.

1.6.       We may make changes to the BSLC website, including these terms, at any time. You will be legally bound by the updated or amended terms from the first time that you use The Bury Secondary Learning Collaborative website after we put the changes on-line.

1.14.    Whilst every effort is made to ensure downloadable content is free from viruses, the owners cannot accept any liability for damages resulting from virus infection. 

1.15.    Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, where a contract with a consumer is concluded via a website, the consumer will have a general right to cancel if a reasonable notice period is given. Cancellation notifications must be made in writing (post, email). Cancellation contact details will be provided in your confirmation email.

2.1.       For non-commercial use, including personal use, or for use by a registered charity, a not-for-profit organisation or a public sector body, you may copy, download, adapt or print off copies of the materials, information, data and other content included on the BSLC website ('BSLC website content'). You will need to obtain permission in writing from us before you make any other use of BSLC website content.

2.2.     The rights in images, trade marks, trade names, logos included on the BSLC website are owned by us and/or third parties. You will need to obtain permission in writing from the owner before you may use these images, trade marks, trade names, logos in any way.

 

  1.        Disclaimer course information

3.1  Behaviour

All participants are reminded that acceptable behaviour is required at all times during the course
and after course hours to other members, course trainer/s and staff. Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated. If the participant is seen to be verbally or physically abusive, deliberately causing danger or damage to other members, trainer/s, staff or property during the course the participant will be required to leave the course immediately and will not receive any refund.

3.2   Liability

BSLC does not accept any liability for damages mental, emotional or physical where a participant has failed to inform BSLC of any pre-existing mental or physical condition that may result in the detriment to their or others health during the duration of the course.

 

  1.        Third party websites
    We do not monitor the content of third party websites. Any link provided on The Bury Secondary Learning Collaborative website is solely for your convenience. We do not accept any responsibility for any third party website.

 

  1.        Liability
    We exclude any liability to you should the BSLC website not be available at any particular time.
    We do not accept any liability to you for any of the following types of loss or damage (which you may suffer as a result of your use of the BSLC website) whether the losses were foreseen, foreseeable, unforeseen, unforeseeable, known, unknown or otherwise:

5.1.               loss which arose when you first accessed or registered to use the BSLC website (even if that loss results from the our failure to comply with these terms or our negligence);

5.2.               any business loss you may suffer, including loss of revenue, loss of profits or loss of anticipated savings (whether those losses are the direct or indirect result of our default);

5.3.               loss which you suffer other than as a result of our failure to comply with these terms or our negligence or breach of statutory duty;

5.4.               any loss suffered due to the default of any party other than us.

5.5.               We do not warrant that the BSLC website or any content will be available uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the BSLC website or its supporting systems are free of viruses or bugs.

5.6.               We do not accept any liability to you if we fail, or are interrupted or delayed in the performance of any obligation because of:
(a) the non-availability or failure of any telecommunications or computer services, systems, equipment or software operated or provided by you or any third party;
(b) any other event not reasonably within our control.

5.7.               We do not give any commitments or accept any liability to you in respect of the BSLC website content provided by other users of the website or third parties.

 

  1.        General
    If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then the remaining terms shall remain in full force and effect.
     

 

  1.        These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England.
